CRISP Centre Hacketstown

Hacketstown is located in the North East of County Carlow, next to the border of Co. Wicklow and so far east that most of the parish lies within County Wicklow. It has a long and turbulent history, stretching back over some thousand years with the construction of an earthen fort at Eagle Hill. Eagle Hill, the geographic feature that dominates the town, has an unusual shape giving the impression of one small hill sitting on top of another. The local river Dereen is popular with anglers and is a tributary of the River Slaney. Not far away is the Haroldstown Dolmen, indicating that the area was settle in pre-Christian times. Our CRISP Computer Training Centre is located in the Old Fire Station, The Green, Hacketstown. The centre is very busy and is well used by the locals, especially the children from the local community. We offer a wide selection of Computer Courses - Computers for Beginners, Intermediate Computers, ECDL, Big Red Book, Desktop Publisher, Digital Photography and Kids club that runs during school holidays. You can call in and use our facility to use the Internet for €2 per hour; printing is 20c per sheet colour printing is 40c per sheet. Assistance with CV €5 per CV (2 sheets) anything after that is €1 per sheet. After successfully applying for grant-aid from the Dept of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Benefit Scheme we are offering subsidised courses in Computers for Beginners for €80 and Digital Photography for Beginners for €95.

ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) started Wednesday 3rd February at 2:30pm. In association with BTEI. This is an essential qualification to have if you are interested in a career in office work or to enhance your CV.
'INTRODUCTION TO THE INTERNET' learn how to surf the net and set up your own E-Mail address. This is a 4 week course to start Wednesday March 24th at 10:30am 2hrs per session cost is €40.

CRISP Centre Myshall

Myshall is a quaint little village that is steeped in history and is located at the base of the northwestern slopes of the Blackstairs Mountains, there is a lovely drive from Myshall up to Mount Leinster and the nine stones lookout point. There's also a magnificent church in the village - the Adelaide Memorial Church. Built as a miniature of Salisbury Cathedral, this architectural gem was completed in 1913 by London businessman John Duguid as a memorial of love to his daughter following her death on the hunting field. CRISP Centre Carlow

Carlow Crisp Centre, Castle Hill, Carlow is based in a historic building. In 1903 Michael Governey proprietor of Corcoran and Co. opened a boot and shoe manufacturing factory opposite his mineral water works at Castle Hill Carlow. The factory was built by Thomas Thompson of Carlow and had a beautiful red brick frontage (a very small portion of this still exists). Today it is our local Computer Training Centre which offers Courses in: - Computers Made Simple, Intermediate Computers, Digital Photography, Big Red Book, ECDL, Desktop Publishing, Kids Club which runs during school holidays and a new course called Computer Maintenance. You can call in and use our facility to use internet for €2 per hour; Printing is 20c per sheet colour printing is 40c per sheet. Assistance with CV €5 (2 sheets) anything after that is €1 per sheet.
